Message	did you ever consider leaving the R1 motor in the R1's frame, trimming it, and mounting the whole thing to the car? I saw that in an article on a motorcycle powered lemons car (motoiq.com) and thought it was pretty ingenious. I bet the extruded aluminum from the R1 frame would be much lighter than the box frame you built as well.
